En route from India to the USA, Elizabeth Lockyer called in to see how we are doing in Hillfields on Tuesday 10th April

A resident's seminar was held on 6th April. It was addressed by Professor Donald Pennington of Coventry University and also included discussion about the housing proposals for the football club.

The PACT Youth Grant Scheme was launched at Hillfields Young Peoples Centre on Tuesday 27th March 2001. There is more about the grant scheme on this site.

The Patchwork Challenge project launched its Blooming Seats in the Hillfields Flats on 23rd March 2001. The flowers were designed by local children in Hillfields. Artist Karen Osbourne is seen here with Jim Cunningham MP, Councillor Rob Windsor and children who helped with the designs. There are more photos on the Patchwork page.

Over 80 women took part in a Hillfields Women's Week event at Sidney Stringer CTC on Saturday 17th March 2001.

Activities included Rangoli Floor Art, a cyber cafe, food decorating, paper making, healthy eating and much, much more.

Thirty young people from Hillfields took part in a Multi-sport Activity Week at Sidney Stringer CTC during half term week in February, courtesy of the Hillfields Sports Development Project.
