The Fifth Hillfields History Walk took place on Sunday 12th September. This one covered the Spittlemore Area and particularly the car industry in part of Hillfields. The group is seen here on the steps of the new Generations night club which was previously the Alexandra cinema.

This is the first web appearance of one of Hillfields' youngest residents. Jack was born on 15th September to proud parents Revd. Clive and Jenny Gregory. He weighed in at 8lb 10 oz.

The national pilgrimage against poverty visited Hillfields on Tuesday 5th October. The pilgrimage started in Iona and is on its way to London, but it included a detour to Hillfields where the local community helped celebrate the achievements of local people in addressing poverty.
Pru Poretta, dressed as Lady Godiva read a poem about Coventry's long tradition of addressing poverty.

A group of Graphic Design students from Coventry Technical College are helping us design a bookmark to commemorate the Millennium. On 6th October they came to Hillfields to see our weaving history and to meet some of the children who will receive the bookmark. The group is shown here outside Southfields School.

.Our new Community Safety Officer, Karen Buttle, started work in Hillfields on Monday 11th October.

WATCH Ltd. held its second Annual General Meeting at the Gosford Asian Centre on Thursday 22nd October. The entertainment was provided by local group, Coventry Community Circus.

On Wednesday 27th October we held a bicycle post-coding day at our new Village Square.
