Open Day 4th September 2004

We had an open day for the community on Sat September the 4th giving local residents guided tours around the centre giving residents the opportunity to see all the different aspect of the centre. With free tea, coffee and cakes plus all the fun and games set up in the car park, with Wally the clown and his partner performing circus tricks (thanks to Jessica at Area co-ordination for helping us with the cost of the entertainers) everyone had a great day, the weather was perfect which allowed the live music to be outside which helped to draw more people into the centre, during the day we saw 400-500 people pass through the centre. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the building finish and delighted with the centre and what it brings in terms of amenities to the local area. Henley College were on hand giving out information about courses we were all encouraged with the interest shown in the training and learning area. And of course as with everyone who sees the children’s nursery they were all very impressed with the high standard of equipment and the light airy environment.
