The Phoenix Health Inequalities Project is a community outreach project, which seeks to empower local residents to take a more active part in developing Hillfields as a healthy and positive place in which to live and work. The project works with residents, existing community organisations and partnerships and particularly targets minority and excluded sections of the community. The project works with existing community partnerships and seeks to increase the level of interaction and cohesion between different sectors of the Hillfields community through the development of joint project activities. It also supports the work of individual organisations, particularly those set up to meet the needs of minority groups and communities new to Hillfields.
