Hillfields Crime Reduction Officer
As
an integrated part of the Hillfields Crime Fighting Team*, the Crime
Reduction Officer will provide a focused, directed and co-ordinated approach to
reducing crime and the opportunities for crime within the Hillfields area.
The
CRO will be a civilian member of staff trained in crime prevention and reduction
techniques who will provide support to the Crime Fighting Team (through
consultation and advice) and to the whole community (through first hand
interventions) in achieving the higher level targets.
The
CRO will be able to provide advice, support and guidance to all Hillfields
sector officers on issues relating to crime prevention and reduction and act as
a contact and co-ordination point for outside agencies. The CRO will maintain an
up to date knowledge of crime reduction and prevention techniques and best
