PROJECT REJECTED
Clean Environment - Hillfields
To target cleanse adopted land and open spaces including Primrose Hill Park and Swanswell Park (but excluding private land, unless stated) of litter, medium-sized fly-tipped rubbish, full and overflowing litter bins and fly-posting. Some targeted weed spraying will also take place. The team to liaise with the Neighbourhood Warden(s) for the effective response to priority sites. It is hoped that that the team will be assisted by a Litter Warden with an environmental and prosecution remit working in the area (which is being developed as an NRF project separate to this one). The project will be underpinned with a Partnership Agreement.
· Coventry Contract Services (CCS) - main partner
· The Client Agency (Coventry City Council)
· Action Against Crime - existing & possible future Neighbourhood Wardens
· WATCH - Community Development Team (EAG & Residents’ Groups’)
· Whitefriars Homes North
· City Development Directorate (Environmental Services & Cultural Development)
Nigel Fisher – Area Services Officer, The Client Agency (PACT)
What is the NRF grant requested?
£137,741
The bid will link to a number of the government’s ‘Floor Targets’ and to Coventry Council’s local Public Service Agreement targets
I’m concerned about time constraints, given this time of the year is particularly busy dealing with end-of-year finances and the associated implications.
