• Develop a partnership approach to co-ordinate services via the Youth Strategy Group.

• Remodel the Hillfields Young People's Centre.

• Find ways of re-establishing the work of the Fun Factory with 11-13 year olds.

• Establish an outreach team to support young people at risk.

• Continue the Summer Play Scheme for 5-11 year olds.

• Establish summer activities programmes for 12-19 year olds.

• Develop personal and social education projects for children (5-11) and young people (12-19).

• Consult with young people to make sure their views are heard.

• Engage young people in local democracy and decision-making.

• Expand the range of school and community computer access points.

• Work with the ConneXions One Stop Shop to improve advice for young people.

• Introduce young people to existing facilities.

• Continue to develop alternative learning environments.

• Develop programmes aimed and young black and ethnic minority communities, including asylum seekers and refugees.

• Develop programmes aimed at girls and young women, disabled young people and young people who are lesbian, gay or bisexual.

• Develop programmes aimed at young people who are involved in street crime, drug abuse and prostitution.

• Develop ways of rewarding young people for their achievements.
