… the plans are:

• Reduce crime by making sure that young people are aware of the danger of using drugs.

• Make sure that young criminals are referred to the Youth Offending Service.

• Work with prostitutes to make them aware of other life options.

• Prevent kerb crawling.

• Establish a Police Team to pro-actively challenge drug dealing.

• Provide high visibility police patrols in parks and open spaces.

• Find out what residents concerns are about using parks and find ways of addressing them.

• Provide property postcoding to householders.

• Supply crime prevention packs to new residents.

• Offer crime prevention advice and equipment to victims of burglaries.

• Employ a Crime Reduction Officer.

• Provide personal safety and crime reduction advice to older people.

• Improve the security of shops in Stoney Stanton Road.

• Expand the Hillfields Neighbourhood Warden project.

• Reduce the number of abandoned and untaxed cars in Hillfields.

• Increase awareness of domestic violence and how to tackle it.

• Increase the number of Neighbourhood Watch schemes.

• Help asylum seekers and refugees meet the legal requirements for driving cars in the UK.
