Monitor and change our plans to take account of the impact of the major redevelopment scheme in the Hillfields Flats.
Work with the strategic housing authority in the city to develop an action plan for housing in Hillfields that tries to tackle the large numbers of sub standard housing revealed by the 2002 House Condition Survey.
Develop policy proposals to improve private sector housing.
Make sure that all Housing Association housing achieves the 'Decent Homes' standard by 2010.
Identify sites for new Housing Association homes.
Develop bigger houses with 3 or 4 bedrooms and more special needs housing for vulnerable groups.
Develop new houses to "lifetime standards" so that they can be easily converted for use by disabled people.
Develop an action plan to identify, prioritise and address current and future housing needs.
Develop an action plan to influence housing demand so that it matches the wider regeneration agenda for Hillfields.
Improve the marketing and promotion of living in Hillfields.
Assess the level of fuel poverty in Hillfields and develop proposals for a local Warm Zone initiative to reduce fuel poverty and increase energy efficiency.
Review the Supported Housing Scheme and develop proposals for the future.
Encourage people to claim Housing Benefit where they are entitled to it.
Review the Hillfields HomeChoice scheme and Introduce a permanent choice based approach to home lettings.
Improve partnership working between Housing Association to tackle anti-social behaviour.
