Improve health promotion and services to prevent illness.
Improve health care services around identified needs.

Work with local communities to identify their own needs regarding health and health services.
Apply for longer term funding for a Hillfields Health Development Worker.
Work with GP's and health practices to establish ways patient participation structures.
Fund projects run by local groups to contribute to the Health Improvement Plan.
Set up a One-Stop Healthy Living Centre in Hillfields.
Identify health and well-being needs for communities new to Hillfields.
Develop services to help people give up tobacco and paan use.
Increase opportunities for leisure and physical activities in Hillfields, including supporting the Sports Action Zone.
Provide advice to women about general and sexual health.
Provide safety equipment to people on low incomes to reduce the number of domestic accidents.
Give advice to people about how to eat more healthily.
Give fruit to all school children aged 5-6.
Provide advice to the Baby Weaning Group for First Step to Health Eating.
Give birthday parties to 1-year olds to help change from baby to toddler food.
Give advice and support to parents who are concerned about their children.
Complete the funding campaign to buy a defibrillator for community use.
Establish links with the Healthy Living Centre run by Coventry Sports Trust.

Hillfields will be a healthier place to live in, life expectancy for both men and women will have improved and there will be fewer people dying before they are 65 years old. (Hillfields Vision)
