The key themes are…..
Develop services and facilities that meet the needs of young children in Hillfields.

… the plans are:
Set up a district wide network and a Hillfields task group to develop ways of meeting the needs of families with babies and young children.
Plan to establish a Sure Start programme in Hillfields.
Develop creativity in children and families at Hillfields Early Years Centre with an Artist in Residence.
Promote literacy and numeracy skills in babies and young children through the Early Start Basic Skills project in the Hillfields Early Years Centre.
Continue supporting 'hard to reach' families with Parent Link workers.
Set up a new training facility in the Hillfields Early Years Centre to develop ICT skills with children and their parents.
Create a sensory garden at the Hillfields Early Years Centre.

Parents with children will have access to high quality affordable childcare to enable them to take advantage of work and training opportunities (Hillfields Vision)
